Chicago White Sox host the New York Yankees today. The situation is quite clear, the White Sox - the worst team in the MLB currently and the Yankees as always one of the best. Chicago recently broke their losing streak of 21 matches vs. Oakland Athletics, but they have started a new one currently on 3 losses in a row. I doubt Chicago can do something epic against the Yankees in the first game of the series which is always really important. NY who share the first place with Baltimore Orioles are the second team after the Orioles to register 70 wins this season, which speaks for itself. We don't take a big risk here with this handicap, despite that it's a -2 one. On another note I read an interview from Carlos Rodon (former White Sox) who won the AL Central with the White Sox 3 years ago and even he said: "I think they’re still finding an identity, we're 4 years behind with building our team." And for a Yankees team battling Baltimore Orioles for AL East supremacy, they can’t afford to slip against the White Sox. I expect the Yanks to crush the White Sox tonight.

Italian Lorenzo Sonego faces Jaume Munar in the last round of the Cincinnati qualifiers. I expect to see Sonego dominate today. He has proven that he is in a good form, recently he beat Borna Coric in R1 and Tallon Griekspoor in Montreal. I was impressed by the Padres ability to comeback, yesterday I watched their game vs Pittsburgh and was impressed by their team-play even after ending up on the losing side they managed to comeback and win the series vs the Pirates who are in no means a bad team. San Diego have won 14 of their last 16 matches only losing one match in their series vs Baltimore and Cleveland who are two of the top teams this season and San Diego managed to take the series vs them. The same can't be said about Miami Marlins who have won only 1 of their last 5 home games. They won vs Cincinatti Reds, who destroyed them in the other matches, so I can say Miami won with luck that game. I think the pick today is obvious, I'm expecting an easy victory for San Diego.

A Lorenzo Sonego win looks like a great value bet. We know that Tabilo is a decent player, but he’s not as consistent on a hard surface as he is on clay, while Sonego is simply a better player than what the bookmakers price him at. We saw how strong he can be on this sort of surface when he beat Griekspoor in the last match. Moreover, when the pair last met on a hard court, Sonego won in straight sets, so he really could get more competitive here than the early odds suggest. Listen, am I saying Sonego definitely wins this? Absolutely not. I am saying that he has a better chance than the early odds suggest, so betting on the Italian to win offers great value.

The opposite was the case with Taylor Fritz, the American tennis player won against Mariano Navone 2-0 (4-6, 1-6). Navone made it difficult for Fritz with some long rallys that helped Taylor adapt well on the court and come out as an absolute favorite for us today. On the plus side, Fritz is undefeated against Sebastian Korda in his career, with both matches the two have played going 2-0 in Taylor Fritz's favor.

The season is bad for both the Oakland A's and the White Sox, but Oakland still has something to play for and that is their fans. Meanwhile, Chicago are on a 20 game losing streak, which judging on their performances isn't gonna end soon. They aren't even looking to improve their game. Both teams are coming out with very average pitchers, but atleast the Oakland A's have something to cover up for it. I expect Oakland to come out on top against the White Sox and extend their losing streak to 21.

Although the Phillies are in a tought losing streak with 6 losses in a row, scoring runs is not a problem for the leaders. This is their worst streak in a long time, as a Phillies fan I can't remember the last time they lost 6 in a row. It's understandable they lost the series vs the Yankees based on their current form, but I doubt that they would want to do the same vs Seattle who took the first two games. Today I can't expect Phillies to win with confidence, but breaking their individual total shouldn't be a problem for them. Also the Phillies are statistically starting the game with a better pitcher than the Mariners, so I expect them to play offensively and score.

Oakland Athletics host the LA Dodgers today and it don't expect it to be a hard match for the guests from LA. They won 0-10 in the last meeting after losing in the first game to the A's 6-5. The Dodgers are ranked 1st in the National League West and the A's are 14th which basically explains the massive difference of class between the teams. We are going with the Dodgers today.

Simple, Chicago White Sox is currently the weakest team in the MLB this season and without a doubt Kansas City Royals are better than them. I expect a good match from the Royals. Chicago are on a 14-game losing streak, also Kansas have 9 wins in the last 10 matches against the White Sox. The first game of the series is very important and I think Kansas will come out and crush the White Sox.
